Iran Footy 9s jumper front
AUSTRALIA & IRAN
The 2016 Census recorded 58,112 Iran-born people in Australia. Early migrants from Iran were mostly oil service workers. The 1979 Iranian revolution and subsequent establishment of the Islamic Republic of Iran, followed by the war between Iran and Iraq (1980-88) resulted in an increase of migration from Iran to Australia.

Team Iran

I have started my footy journey with AFI. Such a great opportunity to meet awesome people coming from around the world, training together, and having so much fun!

I’ve even loved it more when I was involved in a match and played for the United Nations team. I absolutely can’t wait to play for my home country team soon! Come and join, you won’t regret it!
